Overview
WANI SRL is the legal Mandate of International mining company which are in joint ventures with smelting copper cathodes factories in DRC, Congo in the well-known mining region, the KATANGA. Kolwezi, Likasi in Lualaba area are the heart of the minerals.

Copper ore and concentrate with cobalt are essential to produce cathodes.
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is a major global producer and exporter of copper cathodes, with an estimated 10% of the world’s copper reserves located within its borders. Several large mining companies operate in the DRC, which are leading exporters of copper cathodes. The DRC’s copper production is primarily concentrated in the Katanga region, now known as Haut-Katanga Province.
Copper cathodes are produced through smelting and electrorefining processes to remove impurities from copper ore, resulting in a high-purity copper product (99.95% or greater).
The DRC is a leading global exporter of copper cathodes, with significant production and export volumes.
The DRC is estimated to hold around 10% of the world’s copper reserves.

Challenges: Mining operations in the DRC, particularly cross-border transport, can face challenges such as traffic jams, tolls, and border delays.
